Sister of NBA Guard Among Those Killed In Michigan Accidents Last Week
4 people in lower Michigan died in 3 separate auto accidents last Monday, December 20, 2010. Among the deceased was Tamara Green, sister of New Orleans Hornets guard Willie Green. Tamara and her cousin Ben Green were both killed in an accident on I-75, when the GMC Envoy they were in went off the highway and collided with trees. The accident occurred as the two were returning from watching the Hornets play the Pistons in Auburn Hills. Investigations were to be taken to determine if alcohol was a factor in the crash. Both victims died at the scene after the roof of the Envoy was crushed by a tree, after Mr. Green lost control of the vehicle on the pavement.
Michigan State Police say a 46-year-old man who ran out of gas was fatally struck on I-75 in Lincoln Park before 5 a.m. after he jumped the median and was hit by a northbound vehicle. Michigan police say a 39-year-old man died at the scene after his vehicle struck a parked semitrailer in west Michigan.
