Michigan “Hockey Doc” Charged with More Counts of Sexual Misconduct

Charges of sexual assault continue to build for Dr. Zvi Levran. Commonly referred to as the “Hockey Doc,” over the last 20 years Levran has worked with numerous high school hockey teams throughout the state of Michigan. Having initially been charged in October 2022, Levran now faces 27 charges of criminal sexual conduct in 12 separate cases. The current cases span across two separate courts, including those of Farmington Hills and West Bloomfield.

Upon receipt of numerous tips, police are conducting additional investigations, not only in Michigan but also in Minnesota, California, Arizona, Georgia, North Carolina, and Canada. Levran is presently being held in the Oakland County jail on a $2 million bond and has been lodged at the jail ever since a 19-year-old hockey player approached police back in October, informing them of Levran’s assaults against him in the basement office of Levran’s Farmington Hills home. Levran has pleaded “not guilty” to the charges.

Levran is scheduled for a probable cause conference for one case and an arraignment for a second case, both of which were scheduled for February 27th, 2023, in the 48th District Court. Preliminary examinations for Levran’s 10 remaining cases are scheduled for the following day in the 47th District Court. As the state’s investigation continues, police encourage any survivors of Zvi Levran—or anyone with additional information—to call the 24-hour tip line, which can be reached at (248) 871-2610.
