The Process of a DAAD/DLAD Hearing

In order to have a DAAD or DLAD hearing set you must first fill out a form requesting a hearing at one of the Secretary of State’s locations that handle these requests. Once your hearing is scheduled, it is your job to convince the examiner who will be conducting the hearing that you are sober and are ready to get back behind the wheel.

The assumption of the examiner will be you have a drug or alcohol problem if you lost your license due to a DUI (Driving Under the Influence) or OWI (Operating While Intoxicated).
